If you wish to take a larger role in His service through donations of time and talents, this is the place for you!

The United Lutheran Appeal of the Metropolitan Washington D.C. Synod joins together 13 Lutheran-Affiliated agencies for one annual appeal to congregations for funding for their programs. This month, the Bethel community will have the opportunity to help many others through the ULA.
Please review the United Lutheran Appeal Newsletter to see the details of many of the worthy programs the ULA supports.
Please review the sites below to gain an understanding of how Lutherans are responding to disasters worldwide:
- Lutheran Disaster Response
- Lutheran World Relief - current disasters are listed on the right under Emergencies/Disaster Response

Lutheran Disaster Response is for domestic disasters and they are involved currently with the tornadoes in Arkansas. Lutheran World Relief is partnered with other aid organizations like ACT to try to get relief into Myanmar.
There is also a near term opportunity to assist in rebuilding houses in Waverly Iowa. Please click here for more information.
The Lutheran World Relief site includes a Myanmar/Burma Cyclone Page that has good descriptions about what they are doing to respond to that disaster.
